Angelica's Story
Life
Wow...it seems like it was just yesterday I was walking through the halls of Newcomb, then Millikan. Except for a short stay in University housing, I haven't lived outside of Long Beach. I continue to live and work in Long Beach. After graduating high school in 1995 I went to USC and graduated in 1999. Immediately after graduating USC I took a third grade teaching job for LBUSD (yes, IÂm one of THEM now!). My high school Spanish teacher, Mrs. Green, was the first to predict I would become and educator. ay. In fact, I wonÂt retire until you come and replace me. Of course at the time, I thought this was the most outrageous thing I had ever heard. It wasnÂt until my second year at SC that I realized my true calling. IÂve taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th and 6th grade. After completing my Masters in Educational Administration I was promoted to Assistant Principal of Franklin Middle School.
