Angelica's Story
I've been married now 19 years to my high school sweet heart Rich Ahrens (no, he's the older one, Tom Ahrens was the wrestler in our class). What's crazy is we've been together 26 years! WOW!
Kids: We have two biological sons, Matthew 17 and Eric 15; and one adopted daughter from Russia, AnnMarie 5. Our sons are awesome soccer players (if I don't say so myself). Matthew mainly plays center midfield (but can play any position if needed) and Eric is Goalie (with some awesome field skills as well). They have both played since 2nd grade (travel) and are now starters on their high school teams (Lake Park, yep, at our rival school). They also are awesome swimmers (swim high school and park district), so their schedules keep us very busy. Our daughter will be starting soccer next spring...she wants to play just like her big brothers! She is also trying very hard to learn how to swim....she can also dribble a mean basketball (cha ching! HA! HA!)

ge. I am an executive assistant, administrative assistant, secretary, gopher (whatever) and have worked at a couple fabulous (and not so fabulous) companies. I currently work part-time, but am planning to go back full time in the fall as my oldest will be off to college in a year (which I still can't believe).
Extras: I volunteer a LOT with my kids. Rich has been a full-time coach for both boys for travel soccer since they started playing. I am the Team Parent for the high school boys swim team, the Meet Director for the park district swim team, and I also volunteer at church with my sons at Youth Ministry, Religious Education and for PADS (shelter for the homeless).
I can say we are enjoying life, and managing all the bumps and bruises along the way. The last few years have definitely taught me there are NO guarantees in life, so live life it to the fullest! We do spend all our free time (and not so free time) with our children, because as many of you know, they grow up way too fast!
