Anita's Story
Life
I have been married for 19 years and have two children, ages 10 and 8. I met my husband in college in San Luis Obispo. His name is Chris and yes, we still love each other. On graduating from college,(me with an animal science degree and Chris with an agricultural engineering degree) we moved to Iowa where Chris began his career with John Deere. I began working with physically and mentally handicapped people. With Chris' job, we have moved frequently and I worked in many jobs, mostly related to human services. We have lived in Iowa 3 times, California, Mexico for 4 years, Seattle, Germany, Korea and now are in North Carolina. After 13 years with John Deere, Chris decided to pursue...Expand for more
an opportunity with Volvo Construction Equipment where he is Vice President of wheeled excavators. That is what brought us to Europe. I have had the blessing of being able to be a stay-at-home mom since my first child and here have been homeschooling my kids. My interests include being a mom, wife, scrapbooking, quilting, riding horses, training dogs, traveling (of course!) and seeking to become a "woman after God's own heart". With every move we have made, God has blessed us with good friends, a good church family and a good adventure! When I grow up, I want to be a counselor/therapist. We hope to retire to a ranch in Southern Colorado where we can see what other adventures await us.
