Anita's Story
Life
I married Kenneth Kolodejcak (Debbie's older brother) in 1989, we live in Spring (near the Woodlands) and we have three boys. Austin (May 94), Blake (April 96) and Chad (June 98). School
It seems that a lot of Aldine people have migrated north up I-45 to the Spring/Woodlands area. There are many who graduated from 1984 and other years that live our neighborhood, Imperial Oaks. There are teachers at my kids school that went to Aldine - it's just a small world!
My years at Aldine - my senior year I was in Vocational Office Education which allowed me to work half a day but that also meant I missed half a day of school which meant I also had to quit Vaqueras. nds there. Being on the yearbook staff is one thing I really liked doing and I have "used" that skill many times over the years having been historian/photographer for many organizations. I now work on the yearbook at my kid's school.
College
I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1988. Before that, went to North Harris Community College for 2 years because at the time I had a great job working for Damson Oil on Greens Road. I was making $5.50 an hour when most of my friends were working for $3.35 minimum wage! In 1986 I transfered up to Sam Houston State University. I lived in the Timbers Apartments on I-45. I worked at Walmart (that was back before Walmart was open 24 hours) in the jewelry department. I was a Kappa Sigma Little Sister and I pledged Alpha Kappa Psi, a business fraternity. Those were great years but at the time I could not wait to graduate and get a job!
