Anita's Story
Wow, 30 years ago and it seems like yesterday when we were all footloose and fancy free. They say that good things come to those who wait. Well, after being divorced for 19 years I found the greatest man alive. We have been married for 4+ years. Between us we have 4 kids (my 2 boys, Shane, 30 (I am reallllly feeling old when I say it) and Justin, 27. Ken (my husband) has 2 great girls 28 and 24. We have 7 grandkids with #8 due in April, 2008. Shane has 2, Justin has 4, Kristen 1 and one on the way. Lindsay just got married in November. No babies yet. So, with all that you would think I would be an empty nester, right? Wrong! We just got guard...Expand for more
ianship of 4 of our grandkids ages 7,6,4 and 3. Most days I'm not sure if I'm coming or going but we are adjusting. We have had them since November, 2007. They make me realize that I'm not as young as I used to be or sometimes still think I am but I would not trade it for anything. It is very rewarding. Kids make you realize how simple life should be and how complicated we adults make it. This is now my full time job after working at Oklahoma Central Credit Union for 16 years. Talk about an adjustment!! I do have a booth at Windsor Market where I sell antiques and collectibles but that's not really a full time job. Honestly, I feel very blessed.
