Anita's Story
Life
After High School I went to the Florida State for one year then I worked in Miami for about six months and then joined the Army. I was in the Army for about 2 years. I met my husband at a joint command in Maryland and we were married in April 1965. He was in the Navy and from Indiana. We went to Copenhagen, Denmark for about a year and then to Pensacola - where our daughter Yvonne was born. When we left Pensacola we came to Norfolk where my twin boys - Joseph and Arthur were born. We moved to Virginia Beach in 1975 and that is were my kids grew up and went to school. My husband retired from the Navy in 1979 and we decided to remain here in Virginia. In 1991 my daughter graduated from the University of Virginia and in 1993 she moved to Atlanta. She now lives in Rosw...Expand for more
ell, Ga with her boyfriend and dog and cat. My son Arthur graduated from Old Dominion University in 1994 after going to Desert Storm as a Marine. He worked in PA for a while and then moved to Charleston before returning to Virginia Beach. Joseph decided to work for a year and then decided he wanted to go to college. He attended the local Jr College and after graduation got a job teaching and going to school at Old Dominion at night. It took him 11 years and he just graduated from Old Dominion University May 5, 2001. He has since moved to Roswell, Ga with his sister to look for a job in Atlanta.
I got a divorce in 1998 and retired in December of 2000. I have moved back to Norfolk and am enjoying retirement. I still take lots of pictures just like I did in High School.
