Anita's Story
After graduating from nursing school in 1969, I stayed in Miami for a year, then moved out of Florida and have been in Syracuse, NY for the past 31 years. Two marriages (and divorces) and three kids later, I am returning to Florida. I plan on being a "snowbird" and spend part of the year there, and the hot summers in NY. I just retired in November 2007 and it is great! I just hope I can survive the next 2 years on my pension until social security kicks in. UPDATE 08/26/22: I lived in Altamonte Springs for 9 years. It was great spending time with my Mom until she passed in 2014. I was in a relationship with a wonderful man down there, but he also died in 2017, so I moved back to Syracuse, NY. All three of my children are here too, and I have 2 precious grandchildren. Life didn’t turn out the way I thought it would, but I am blessed to have all my kids close by and to be able to watch my grandkids grow up.
