Anita's Story
Ok, it's finally time to put my life story in writing. Geesh, where do I start? Once upon a time, in a cold wintery February, my dad and my mom started snuggling.....oooops too much information, I think. Anyway.....
From kindergarten through 9th grade I went to school with a great bunch of "kids" in Hernando County. (Moton Kindergarten, Brooksville Primary, Mitchell Elementary, DS Parrott Jr. High)
After 9th grade during the summer before 10th grade (1983), we moved to Sumter County, where I met a bunch more great "people", and graduated with them. (South Sumter High School class of 1986.)
After high school I went a year to LSCC (Lake Sumter Community College), got a job, worked for a few years and then moved back to Kentucky (where I was born and all my relatives lived). I decided to continue my education and graduated with my Associates Degree from Maysville Community College. While attending classes I started...Expand for more
working part time at the college and then an opportunity to work full time came open and I took it.. (And am still working for them today!)
2016 Update - Still working for MCTC in Kentucky - almost reaching enough years for the big "R" retirement- except that I'm way too young....lol. Would love to hear from any of my old classmates!
2019 Update: Stepdaughter has given me two wonderful grandchildren - loving the granny life. Still working for college - 27 years strong. Take care.
2021 Update: Still working for Maysville Community & Technical College. (29 years)

2024 Update....Retired March of 2023 reached 30+ yesrs....also during this time my mother-in-law started being really sick from lung cancer...and I was her main driver and support for her treatments...another reason to go ahead with retirement. Sadly she passed in May 2023...
Anyway...I keep on keeping on.
