Anita's Story
Hi Everyone
My name is Anita Jo Hutchinson Veit I graduated in 1950 lived in Meadow Valley where my father worked for the Mill he and my mom lived there from 1941 to 1989. My mother passed in 1968. I have a brother Ross who graduated in 1949 he has now passed also a couple years ago so sad...I went to buisness school in Berekley where most of my friends were going to the University..or other state colleges .. I worked in the Drug Store, Movie Theater, Hi Spot Drive In,a couple of the local restaurants while in high school...Unlike now days no car only parents so I would have to catch lumber truck into town...lol ...I remember the snow was so bad one day they had to take us home from school in a weapons carrier..Rodger and Orville Andersons mom drove our school bus forever..after I finished sc...Expand for more
hool I came back to good old Quincy where I worked for School District,Forest Service,Welfare in Court House ..Nancy Stapley and I shared an apt as did Marilee Edison Bellamy..I ended up in 1953 joining the Navy where I served little over 2 years married a gunnery officer on a destroyer we both got out and moved to Minnesota where he was a pharmacist WE had 4 children and now have 10 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandson...We were devorced after 17 years remarried and devorced after 26 years....I had my own trophy buisness for several years and I am now retired LOve to play golf, penny slots, lol visit family...LIve in a townhouse on golf course where i belonged as a member for 24 years but got to spendy thats the real world...Do hope I hear from lots of you its fun to remember those days Anita
