Ann's Story
Hello, *fall 2008*
Well after high school I married Henry Portillo, (he use to attend Jefferson until the 7th grade). He was in the Navy and stationed in California. We married and had our son Enrique who is now 16 and a junior in high school. He plans on joining the Navy after college. He is our adventerous one and wants to travel the world.
After California we moved to Neveda for 3 years. Our daughter Morgan was born there. She just turned 14 and is a freshman. She is our musical one and is a very talented violinist. She plans on becoming a physical therapist.
After leaving Neveda we went to Oklahoma for 4 years. Now we are living in Virginia Beach Virginia and have been here since December 27,2000. It is a beauti...Expand for more
ful place to live. I really didn't like it when we moved here but it grows on you. We are only a few miles from the ocean and it is nice since I grew up on Lake Erie I kind of missed the water after living in Neveda and Oklahoma for a while.
Henry is a Chief in the Navy and can retire soon but for now he is planning on staying in for a few more years, hopefully we will get to stay here. This is "home" for our children since we have been here for so long.
I am registered nurse working in the ICU at a local hospital in Norfolk, I also work in the eICU at a larger hospital in Norfolk. It is a very rewarding career and I am very blessed to get paid to do what I love.
