Ann's Story
I became Grandmother on my birthday of 2011. What a great gift. My new grandson, Connor is adorable. I can' t believe I'm actually old enough to be a grandmother.
I moved to Greensboro, NC in 2001. I really like the small town feel (compared to Houston) here. Everything is so close. I joined a couple of tennis teams when I moved here to meet people. I am having a great time. I'm not the best player, but I do pretty well. I play in the local league playing other country clubs in Greensboro and surrounding areas. I also play on a USTA team and have met so many more people. My husband teases me when I say I am a "Native" since I lived most of my life in Texas but was born in Camp Le Jeune, NC. By the way, I am on Facebook, so look for me there!
I have been married to Bernie for 20 years. Sometimes it feels like 200 and other times like it was just yesterday. We have 2 beautiful daughters, Kelly and Laura.
Kelly graduated from high school in 2006. She went to school for a year and lived off and on at home. Curren...Expand for more
tly she on her own and works at Chili's as a waitress. (Still, after 3 years!)She's still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up. (Me too)
Laura is 18 and a senior. She plays the french horn in the band and loves playing mellophone in the marching band. The high school band travels surrounding areas and Virginia for competitions every year. Ragsdale High School band is known throughout NC as one of the top bands in the state. She was accepted into Appalachian State University, Western Carolina and UNC-Wilmington. She has decided to attend App State in the fall. Go Mountaineers!
My Pets
Our dog Faye is 12 years old now. She's had some health issue the last couple of years siince being attacked while walking on the bike trails. Since then, she has developed an autoimmune skin disease. She seems to have a mild form so only a few bald spots. It does affect her liver and she has arthritis. She loves to walk along the lake and even lets me know when its 7:30pm and time to go for our daily walk.
