Ann's Story

Life Well.. For those of you who knew me in High School I was not the most popular person but I wasnt the one being picked on for being extreamly smart either. I enjoyed school.. How many of us dont think back and say I wish I was in school again, way back when the most responsibilies you had was to get to your classes on time and get your homework done. My life has been full of adventure.. I joined the Army after enjoying one more summer in KY. I went to Ft Jackson for basic training where I learned more about what I could really put myself through and come out a better person on the other end. I went into the military a bit on the mousey and quiet side. I came out the other side a wild child who seems to never meet strangers. After basic training I went to Ft Gordon to learn about computers. Go figure when I was in High School I didnt like computers they were intimidating and if there was a way to make the thing do exactly the oppisite of what I wanted it to do I could do it.. I found more wierd error codes then anyone I have meet to this day. Training there was good, but still I think I was still working on coming out of the quiet shell I so much was in.. I got in more trouble then anyone in my squad.. No worries though.. I still passed the class and went to my first duty station.. Ft Devens Massachusetts. This is where I met my first Husband whom soon after out marrige we were seperated by the Army. I was sent to Korea for one week, in which they quickly sent be back stateside because I was pregnant with my incrediable son Micheal. My First husband had to stay in Korea. I was sent to Kanas.. BTW when I was told I was going back to the states they said where ...Expand for more
would you like to go.. Did you know that Leaventworth Kanasas was on the east coast.. Neither did I. but that is where I was sent. I had my son Michael there and grew apart from his Dad. We soon got divorced. During my stay in Kanasa they depolyed me to Kenya, Africa. I learned how much I take fast food resturants, green grass and water from the spicket for granted. I seen much and learned alot, but I missed my sons first birthday and yet he still loves me.. :) After coming back I met my second husband and was married in Kansas. We had a precious little girl together. Kassandra is so girl all the way, what happened to the Tomboy I was and she was supposed to be.. LOL. We then recieved orders to Boling AFB in Washington DC. This was a great assignment. I learned alot about PC's and customer relations. I then got out of the Military and moved to Tampa Fl. My second marrige failed for reasons that are not fun so I will leave them out. I am now working on MacDill AFB as a contractor. I enjoy my job and help alot of people. I have recently bought my own home and I share it with my two wonderful children. My life is beyond great at this time. I have a live in boyfriend that has shown me a new life that in all my dreams I have never imagined it could be like this. I am sure that my adventures are not over yet and I hope to keep you up to date. Some where in all this I forgot to mention I did go to the class reunion we had a few years back. It was interesting. I was not there for the picnic but I did go to the mixer for a little while and the actual get together. I look forward to going again so do let us know on this end of the world when the next one is coming.
