Ann-Marie's Story

Life Wow! A life bio- where to start. My life....had big plans for life....wanted to be a lawyer...corporate, or criminal, but for reasons I just cant remember at this point- I chose to get married- at the whopping age of 21..of course the predictable followed...the plans to continue education at night fell apart, then our first child just over a year later. A lovely daughter. I figured out pretty soon the staying home life was not for me- and proceeded to continue my education on the side- became a management consultant) and turned to management consulting services. After 5 years succommed and agreed to have 2nd child- another beautiful baby girl- this time working until the day she was born and returning shortly thereafter. 1992- a tough year- right after Kelsey was born we lost my dad very suddenly at 60 years old. 6 week old baby, taking care of my mom and then the inevitable failing of my marriage- which actually was the best thing that could happen. fast forward- continued management consulting, completed masters in business and project management- got in on the ground floor in the start up of ClientLogic- an international CRM company- built it from 0-250MM $ in 3 years- sold out non management shares to ONEX and then accepted the dream role of a lifetime- as the VP of the worlds largest BPO company 1.6 Billon dollar SITEL out of the USA. Spent the next 10 years building, buying and operating business in 21 countries- made svp- reporting to the chairman- it was a super ride. in the interim, decided to have last baby with the love of my life- another girl- Kennedy- in 1996. After 9-11-international travel and much work in the Asia Pac countries and India became more stressful and dangerous- I was travelling 21 days per month- and updating my will every time i left for a trip so I decided in 2003 to take a SVP Role for SR Teleperformance out of France- running Operations for Canada- and my final step in life balance last year I accepted a role with the largest canadian bank- in Global Consulting Services- providing business advisory services to exectutives within the global operations. Enjoying life in a great property in Ancaster, have 4 horses at home. life is great. School love? Hmm...I'm not telling...but I will say he went on to Queens U- was ver...Expand for more
y tall, dark and handsome- but at the time he just simply didnt play hard to get....oh to be 20 again! Inpsiring teacher- Mr Hughes- Gr 13 Music. Sadly passed away, FAvorite funny memories: rocky ridge ranch and the car rally at the kruckers. funny now that he is my kids friends father..boy we have gotten old. Melissa Creightons deep funny laugh A certain hunky Phys Ed teacher overhearing me tell my teenage girlfriends that with a bag over his head in a dark room I would devour him Making out in GG basement WOW! Was I EVER that young and silly College I know I couldnt eat Kraft dinner or chef boyardi for close to 6 years after graduating Oh to go back and do that again....Ill tell you it is not nearly as much fun as an adult working on your EMBA between home and work commitments....stay in school. Workplace Career- now my age is showing. managment consulting- worked with CAA on the revamp of member services from 87-92 including building out their call centres and insurance services- springboard really to my real career. 92-96 consulting on disaster recovery and the build and operation of large multi-national call centres. 96-99 start up and growth of ClientLogic- running Operations and Support then mergers and acquisitions growing the company to about 300 MM- growth from 1 country to 7 countries. 99-2004 SITEL- my real love- SVP of Solutions Development- building and operating business 1.6 Billion dollars worth in 21 countries. 23 days a month on a plan- in every country in the world--except those with "stan" in the name. 2004- to stay with SITEL would need to move family to US permanently- girls in school- too many days on a plane- decided to step away- sigh- and take a SVP role at SR Teleperformance out of France- responsible for CDN operations and support- focussed on the Telecommuications market- 20 hours a day- less international travel- but never saw my family friends or my horses. 2007 Role in Canada - Global Consulting Services for Large international bank and financial group. Designed for Balance in my life- a huge adjustment- just took a VACATION- where I was ACTUALLY off for 2 whole weeks and didnt get a single call or email interruption. Now some time to ride my horses, take care of myself- spend time with friends and family-
