Life My Pet Patches is my third cat. I got him mostly for my parents, who came down here to live with me in 1990. He very much resembles my mother's cat, Bootsie, who had to be put to sleep in 1997. He is Black with a white stomach and chest. His face is split almost right in the middle with one side white and the other black, so it looks a little like Yin and Yang. 2016 Update: Patches died about a year and a half ago at age 19 yrs, 8 weeks old. I found him when he was 4 weeks old and he moved in at 8 weeks old. I subsequently have adopted 2 cats I saw at the shelter when I went to donate Patches' leftover food. They don't get along with each other. One is old and frail, one is young and aggressive, but they were on death row and needed care, so here I am. It's like having two entitled and demanding little boys, but makes me feel needed. My Kids I have no children of my own, but have sponsored several Russian orphans.
