Ann's Story
After Memorial, was looking for a change of pace. Went to Texas A&M, fell in love with the place. Friendly, down to earth people, midnight yell practices, silver taps, bonfires, standing during entire football games to cheer a team that loses most of the time ( doesn't matter because at the end of the day we're still Aggies and they're not). Wore sweats, no makeup and nobody looked at me funny, they just said "Howdy"... GIG EM!!! Also, met the love of my life, Britt, 2 weeks after I got to A&M. Found myself outside his dorm window with a bunch of my dorm mates and yelled at him and others to throw out their jock straps. He looked at me and said "Why would I do that ? They cost money."( he's an engineer) The Memorial girl in me was perplexed by that one...He still asks me that a lot....Expand for more
We now have 6 kids. Don't ask me why. I have since realized that just because they're cute when they're babies that doesn't necessarily extrapolate into the future. However, God is good and except for being stubborn like their Dad, they're good kids. Katie ( 23) Masters Fin. & Acctg.Texas A&M, Tori(Victoria 22) professional dancer Broadway & Radio City Rockettes, Jesse (20) college student, Colton(18) just dropped him off at t.u. yesterday, he's always been the evil one, Kyle (14) and Connor (12). Just 2 left at home is like a honeymoon. Moved to Memorial area 2 years ago when my husband got new job nearby. Was strange to be back after years of new, exotic locales.( ie; Midland, Katy & Kingwood)
Very blessed. Very happy not to be in high school at Memorial High School anymore.
