#tbt 1973. 7th Grade. 13 Years Old. I was 5'9" and weighed 150 lbs. I thought I was fat. In my mind's eye, this is what I still look like.

Shell Oil Rig, the "Polar Pioneer," has run aground on its way to the Arctic. Maybe it is a sign. This is just south of my house at the north end of Bainbridge Island.
A view of the Polar Pioneer from our deck with Mt. Baker in the distance. It just seems weird to have something this big on the sound ... a little spooky.
