Anna's Story
Life
I ended up in banking. Not veterinary school. I guess the Math Wall of Fame was the ticket after all! I met my husband in Hinton when I was 19 and working at the Hinton weekly newspaper. He was a new RCMP recruit and single! We of course moved, again and again and again. In Okotoks AB, I managed to finish my B. Comm. in Finance at the U of Calgary. Portfolio management was next and I really enjoyed Calgary during Stampede week! We moved onto an acreage and had two girls, Jessica and Katie (1998 and 2000). Drumheller was the next stop for 2 yrs, and Doug became a Corporal. I found work at Scotiabank part-time. I love banker's hours! Now a move to Red Deer, as Doug is now a Sergeant. Kindergarden and Katie will be in Gymnastic Preschool. How cool is that? We still have one horse, two dogs, and one hamster. I do a bit of writing and taekwon do.

Workplace
After High School I was a reporter for the Hinton Parklander for almost 2 yrs. Then I went to UofA to study Vet Med. Organic Chemistry killed that dream. Changed to Finance, and worked at Revenue Canada, Talisman Energy during, and Oliver Management after my BComm Finance degree completed at UofC. After kids found PT work with Scotiabank in Drumheller and Red Deer.
