Life My parents have had the most dramatic impact on my life. My mom seems to want everything done her way and expects perfection. My dad was always proud of me and told me that I could do anything that I wanted. He was just upset with my weight. He was killed in 1999. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him. If you knew my dad, you know he was charismatic. School Everyone knew who my biggest crush was. Heck, he probably knew too. If he didn't he wasn't as smart as we thought he was. Teachers: Too many really good teachers to have any specific memorable one. All of them are memorable in their own way and taught me more than just the curriculum. One was even the inspiration for my daughters name,; she wanted to name her daughter Kirsten too. All of my happiest memories were with my friends. Some were memorable events but most were just the normal everyday life stuff. I tend to overvalue the little things. If I could do it again: I would be less shy(let's be honest shy is me...). I would be a little more reckless(me reckless, nah...). I would have told that pain in the hmmm crush that I liked him. I would have gone out on the edge more(I'm still terrified of rejection.)... College I started college in high school, but it was novel to me. I attended Community Colleges in Arizona, Ohio, and North Carolina. Clark State Community College Glendale Community College Coastal Carolina Community College University of North Carolina I graduated from University of North Carolina in Wilmington with my BA; I majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Sociology. I did better in small class sizes and with an older crowd of students. I was a UNCW student through the extension program in Jacksonville NC. My 'college years' was living in Jacksonville, NC. A town with a guy girls ratio of 10:1!!! Most of the guys are marines, the local guys college age were actually away at college or could barely write their own names. Tons of clubbing! Guys from all over the US!! Lots of fun, for everyone but me... Fat girls still get ignored. I was always the little sister of good friend type to the guys, unless we were both drunk...
