Anne's Story
Life
Graduated Jarvis Collegiate Institute - Went on to become High School
teacher and taught at Kipling College Institute in Etobicoke. The school
and the students (and the staff) were great.
Wouldn't have left except for the fact that I got married and travelled
to Australia. Australia is an awesome country and the people are even
better. Teaching there was quite an experience - having to learn the
Aussie slang for things was one the most fun things along the way.
The first day of school one of the kids asked if he could borrow a
"biro" and for the life of me I had no idea what it was that he was
asking for. Luckily it was a simple thing- a ball point pen.

ds (even though we met a lot of great Ausies and others so we
ended up with a whole new set of friends there.
Ultimately, we sold our house and took a very interesting, very long,
and very circuitous route to get back to this side of the hemisphere.
Eventually we ended up in Florida- no winter snow storms, ice to slip
on, or long dark winter days. But Yes! we do have those pesky things
known as hurricanes. They are not so nice- as we have seen in the
last few years.
We do get to see lots of people from up north since almost
everyone gets to sunny Florida sooner or later.
Need to sign off now since our dog, a frisky black
Labrador wants to go for his evening walk.
Hope to hear from classmates, students I taught,
teachers I taught with, teachers who taught me
and other friends as well.
