Annette's Story
Life
Met my first husband at age 18, got married in May 1977 and divorced 10 years later. Remarried to Rick and we have 2 children: Ricky & Molly. Our son is a Lawyer and our daughter works in Manhattan. We have lived in Morris County for 22 years. My parents moved to Sussex County a number of years ago but they are both gone now.... my father died in 2020 and my mother passed away in 2012. My 3 younger brothers are married with children and still live in the area (Bergen, Morris and Warren County). I am still very good friends with Barbara Wilkin. We are Godmother's to each other's son. I enjoyed organizing the 30th class reunion in 2002 with Jim Kebba and Stu Berkowitz. We did most of the organizing via the internet and classmates.com. I enjoy getting to know people, laughing, cooking, reading, scrapbooking, knitting, travel and my little dog!
Workplace
Currently, I am the Director of Religious Education at a Catholic church near my home. I don't think I will retire until age 70.
Travel
I love to travel and wish I could do more of it. Usually in the winter I visit family in Florida. I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Spain with my grandmother in 1982. She took me to see the family farm in northern Spain where her father was born. We spent a week traveling around the countryside with relatives and we spent another week in Madrid with our "city cousins". I have been to Istanbul, Turkey 3 times and in 2018 we took a family vacation in Greece. Next on my bucket list: A cooking class in Tuscany!
