Annmarie's Story
I keep busy with my two children and husband, and our two rescue Siberian Huskies. I work as a recreation therapist, currently in a "secure dedicated unit for the memory impaired" i.e. a lock down unit. I enjoy my work, and although it can be very challenging and stressful, I always look for the occasional light hearted moment during the day, to recharge myself. I also stay very busy with my children's co curricular activities. I am a den mom for scouts, I am trying to instill core beliefs and values in my children, that will hopefully make them responsible adults.
I delight in throwing the most outrageous and awesome parties for my children. Each birthday party...Expand for more
takes months to plan, in finding the perfect location, planning the activities, making the favors ect. People still talk about my son's farm party that was 10 years ago. I rented out the Queens farm Museum, and had 50 kids. It was awesome. A few years ago , we had pirate party on the dock of the Lobster House Restaurant. Compete with a real walking the plank activity. It's was fantastic!
Aside from throwing them spectacular parties, I enjoy making them super cool Halloween costumes, that I usually make a theme for the family.
There isn't anything that I wouldn't do for my children, or my husband. My life is not perfect, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
