Terry's Story
Life
Well, in case anyone actually cares, after high school I got married practically immediately and did all the usual stuff: had a baby (Jennifer, now all grown up and with two children of her own), got a job (real estate paralegal for 14 years, then the midlife shift), bought a few houses, moved about 20 times, eventually got divorced (in 1994), and went back to school.
I did my graduate work in the Creative Writing program at The University of Georgia in Athens, taught there and at Georgia College and State University and Georgia Military College for a while. I finally made a move I've wanted to make for ma...Expand for more
ny years. In June 2003 I moved back to Key West (grew up there before Orlando), where I taught at Florida Keys Community College, worked as a tour guide, and basically just wandered around.
Currently headed back to the mainland and looking for a teaching job. I write, mostly poetry and fiction, whenever I'm not teaching or chasing my grandchildren, and have had some modest success. I'm still hoping for major success and plugging away daily at the details as, I imagine, we all are.
By the way, my primary political and religious beliefs involve the certainty that SUVs are tangible evidence of Satan's existence.
