Anthony's Story

Life Born in Lake City, Fl on 2/24/62. Father Charles, Mother Ramona, two brothers Sam (older), and Greg (younger). Moved to Jacksonville in 1970. Started High School at Sandalwood High, but moved in Nov. 1978 to Venice. Graduated Venice High 1980. Started Junior College at Manatee Comm. Coll., but realized I was not ready for college. Went to work at Winn Dixie instead. Joined the Navy in Nov. 1981, eventually stationed at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach. Last duty assignment was VF-41, an F-14 squadron at Oceana. Went to Spain, Italy, Israel, Egypt, France, Monaco, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and throughout the U.S. with the Navy. After an Honorable Discharge in 1985, returned to work at Winn Dixie where I attained a management position after moving to Sarasota. Moved in with my older brother in 1989 in Lakeland. r daughter Nicole, then age six. Moved to Tampa in 1990, had my son Anthony II, quit Winn dixie, joined the Navy Reserves and worked electrical construction. Was layed off from construction and began pre-Nursing school. Moved to Ocala in 1992 with Teresa's job and completed RN school. Left the Navy reserves in 1996 and became an Ordained Minister the same year. Curently working at Ocala Regional Medical Center where I have worked on the open heart floor, cardiac cath lab, MICU, and now in the Emergency Room. Plan to retire from this Hospital. Step-Daughter Nicole married in 2000 and gave birth to my first Step-Grandchild Kadin Joseph Parker on June 22, 2001. Nicole had the second child, Colin Anthony Parker May 9, 2004. Her husband, Jesse Parker, joined the Air Force in Nov 2001. Jesse was stationed at Pope AFB in Fayettevile NC where both reside. The future is wide open!
