Since graduation I have lived in eastern Washington and North Idaho for the past 30 years. Uncle Sam sent me to San Antonio Texas for 6 weeks and on to Fairchild AFB in eastern Wa. While on active duty I learned my heavy equipment operation trade. I injured my back while working during an alert. After being discharged I worked as a long haul trucker for 5 years. In 1990 I started my career with the State of Idaho Division of Highways. At first I worked as a temporary hire while I tested for a certified position. During the winter of 92-93 I interviewed and was then hired in Spirit Lake Id. I worked there until January 02 when I fell off a loader in the shop and shattered my right tibia and knee cap.
