Anthony's Story
Life
Let's see? Went to college at Texas Lutheran in Seguin, Law School at the University of Texas, military service in the Marine Corps, worked an lived after discharge from the military in Dumas, Odessa, Alpine, and now Fort Davis. Married Marcia (Nichols - Class of 69, one child, Tony) and divorced, married Patricia Ann and divorced, married Shane Ann (one child, Ian) and divorced, married Linda (one child, Tierney). Still married to Linda. She married me for my money and she intends to stay until I get some. Out of all the marriages I have seven step children (even the ones from previous marriages call up and ask for money and call me "Dad"). Life is pretty routine. I like sports - Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, Spurs, Stars, Rangers (predictable), and some minor league baseball teams. My favorite thing to do is watch a good baseball game. I am working in Alpine, TX as a solo practioner doing mostly criminal law work (I find I have a better class of clientele among criminals that among civil clients) and I live in Fort Davis, TX (6-man football) where political correctness has not yet forced the school system to abandon the school team name of the "Indians". Having moved to near the border about 13 years ago, I have found that I should have studied Spanish in High School. I have picked up some and I can now tell a client that he is is getting ten year...Expand for more
s in prison, I can order more beer, and I can ask where the fat girls are located (for those without this important linguistic talent it is "Donde estan las senioritas gordas?") As you can see, I also have a rather strange sense of humor. There are some things on my "to do" list that I have to get to before they put me in a hole and shovel dirt in: sky diving, bungee jumping, a 7-day 7-night fun filled cruise to the Carribean, dating Sigourney Weaver, space travel. I enjoy the heck out of my kids. I am in charge of all of the sports and other extra-curricular activities. Tieney (age 10)is in softball, soccer, and Girl Scouts. Ian at age 18 and will be graduating in May. He plans to take a year off and sponge off his sisters (my steps) who are both in Hawaii in the Navy. I help coach (like I know what I am doing) and I am an unofficial troop mom (I did it just so I can get first dibs on the cookies). I do embarrass my teen children by driving my Firebird and cranking up the rock and roll with the windows open. It does not matter if you are cool or a nerd - you are an embarrassment by virtue of being a parent. I am looking forward to the next reunion so I can see how old and decrepit the rest of you are since I am still young and virile. Oh, and for you ladies - I like to dance (and I want to dance with you all) so let's have some music at the reunion.
