Larry Hines:  

Life I was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina and grew up in Taylortown a little place just outside of Pinehurst. I spent the most of my life before there before going into the Air Force. I attended Academy Heights High school in Taylortown. I can remember having a lot of good times in Taylortown as I was growing up. Growing up in the Taylortown druing the 60's was an experience that I will never forget. The people was warm and friendly, and the whole community was family. Something that have been lost in communities of today. During that time you knew everyone in the community and respected them. On the week-end we all would jam into a little community club called Migg's on the hill, as we us to call it. During that time just about all black communites has there own clubs for entertainment and we us to travel for club to club on the week-end, those where the days.
