Anthony's Story
It's been a long, tiring road. After high school, I joined the Marines. I did 6 years active there, got out, divorced, and dabbled in the reserves... but ultimately stopped and just wished I was active again. I struggled for a bit, trying to find my niche in this world. I'm still not sure if I found it, but I found a helluva good compromise. I worked construction for awhile and became an EMT at night school. I did Corrections, At-risk youth programs, and finally worked on an ambulance. I found out pretty quickly that I needed a better job. 3 years later, I became a paramedic, then a year after that, a firefighter for Sun City. nd we married last year. Our son was born in January. I changed Fire Departments in the Fall. I'm actually much happier now in my new home. I reside in the city I work in (in your face gas prices). I am working on my instructor status for paramedic stuff (that's a technical term you know), and I'm working on ropes classes for Special Ops. I finally can spread my wings and live my career to its full potential. Good times. I have my truck, my motorcycle, my jeep, a house, a great job, my family, and other than working entirely too much... life is pretty good. I just hope it stays that way. But if it doesn't, I'll bounce back as I always do (nuts to you ex girlfriends!!)
