Julia's Story
Hi Guys! Just thought I'd update my profile in case anyone is interested.
I'm still in Nevada, still happily married with an 11-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old stepson who just moved back in from Oklahoma. We all enjoy playing Rockband and Guitar Hero, and we all enjoy snowboarding in the winter and scuba diving in the summer. My daughter and I still do a lot of traveling together, we went to Hawaii twice last year, Bermuda once, (can't wait to go back), and we love going up to the Northern California coast. We also try to get to occasional Cubs games from time to time, and also travel out east to see June, Janet and the other girls. Most of you know all my sisters, they are all still doing fine, living in various places around the U.S.
Right now I'm still working at a ski shop here in Las Vegas, (believe it or not, we actually sell lots of ...Expand for more
skis and snowboards, even here in the desert.) We are only 45 minutes away from our local mountain, Mount Charleston, 3½ hours to Brianhead in southern Utah (one of the highest base elevations in the U.S.) and about 5½ hours to Mammoth Mountain, our favorite for winter riding. (Famous for the Winter X-Games). I'm still making jewely from abalone and sea glass that I collect from my travels, and still designing and creating messenger bags and handbags from recycled jeans and vintage fabrics.
Well, that's it for now, I'm not that great at posting photos and blogging and such, but I've finally gotten the hang of using my new Iphone from Santa Claus. (getting a little better at texting). I might try to set up a Facebook page if I can muster up enough time and if the kids are right here to help. :-)
