April's Story
Life
I've been married since 1993. My husband's name is Michael, he's an Autocad Operator/Draftsman/Model builder for Faulkner Architects in Truckee, Ca. I have worked mostly as a restaurant manager, but recently left the business for something less time consuming and far less stressful; I now work part-time in a retail shop in Tahoe City called Cabin Fever, selling home decor. I made the career change to accomodate motherhood; Michael and I have adopted a beautiful baby boy, Anthony Hoyt Ruggiero, born August 13th, 2007. I've lived in Tennessee, Los Angeles, New Jersey, then back to L.A. since I left Oregon for Tahoe in 1982, then Tahoe in 1984. Studied acting and had a few small roles, met my husband in acting class, got married, went into debt, got a real job, etc, etc.

Hill II. We're happy to be here, it's such a beautiful place. Why didn't we all see that when we were younger?
I still sing, I still act, and am involved with local theater and music scenes. Over the past 4 years I've done "Jekyll and Hyde", the musical; "Deathtrap"; "Romeo and Juliet"; "The Real Inspector Hound"; "The Sound of Music"; "Tahoe Acting Workshop's Salute to the Oscars"; one Truckee Follies, have sung in one T.A.M.A show, and am in rehearsals now for the final T.A.M.A. show, with performances Nov 30-Dec 3rd 2006.
We spend our spare time renovating the condo. Michael has done most of the work by himself, he's a talented woodworker and handyman. I just help when I can and stay out of his way the rest of the time, taking care of Anthony while daddy works his magic on our home.
Life is good, parenthood is fantastic! We waited a very long time for our baby boy, and couldn't be happier.
