April's Story
Life
After high school I went to Sonoma State University and earned a BA in French and actually spent my junior year living and going to school in Aix-en-Provence, France. I joined the Air Force and served for five years as a cryptologic liguist in Arabic. After leaving Ft. Gordon in 1999, I had my second child and worked as a substitute teacher in Indio, California for three and a half years while going through a divorce. I remarried in 2004. spouse. We are now at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. My husband is a company commander and will deploy to Iraq in December of this year. I am homeschooling my children now and I love it. I am also the Family Readiness Group leader for our company and it is definitely a learning experience. I like the military and military life. I am grateful for my experiences in the Air Force. My only regret in life is having ever married my first husband. I am very happy with my life right now, and I think about old friends I've had and people I've known over the years.
