April's Story
Hello Everybody,
UPDATE:I am now have been married since 2013. My new name is April Watanabe. My husband is the fabulous John Watanabe who was a pro-wrestling commentator and is a Christian Radio Announcer, on KWVE/the K-Wave Radio Network.... can you tell that I am so proud of him? We have been to Israel and number of fabulous places.
It's me! Wooooo! I still say that when I get surprised or astonished and I will say that if I hear from you! It's so good to stay in touch with the past. I have been in entertainment for 20+ years. I have done several productions of 'The King and I' - Anna, 'Man of La Mancha' - Aldonza 'Sound of Music' - Baroness and Sister Margareta, 'Music Man'- Almost every female role except Marion, and 'The Miracle Worker' Annie Sullivan (Inland Center Theater Award). I acted and co-produced two shows 'Night Mother' and 'Durang Duo' (a compilation of Christopher
Durang Plays). I also directed and choreographed 'Your a Good Man Charlie Brown', 'Wizard of Oz' and Disney Shows. I also was a choral director at Luther Middle School and took the choral group to Disneyland where they got an "Excellent" for choral presentation. I have done other productions as well. I have danced solo at the Vienna Konzerthouse in Vienna, Austria and I am on IMDB.com (Internet Movie Data Base) with something like four ...Expand for more
or five movies on there. Entertainment, however is an unstable, slimy business. In my late twenties I went back to school and majored in Music and Education. I now have two bachelor degrees and two teaching credentials and plan on working on a masters online. Lately, I have taken my Christianity more seriously and mended my ways. I have gotten more introspective and have written some poetry. One poem was a finalist in a national poetry competition. 'Life is a University' (I will e-mail it if you are interested).
Over the years I have lived all over Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties and four years in Big Bear California. (Yes, I shoveled snow and I loved it.) I also lived and worked in Austria for half a year in 1988. I had to come home early because of sickness. I really wished I would have stayed to see the Berlin Wall come down.
Right now I am working with the Los Angeles School District. I teach History and Math to hormone raging, middle school special education students. (Somebody has to do it, why not me). If you have any questions about teaching your kids, producing a show, goats, dogs, movies, books, history, politics, life or more important WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOU.... I would love to talk to you.
