ly 16, 2018, I had a total hip replacement of that hip. Alas, my running days are over after over 30 years of creating wonderful memories and meeting tons of new friends. Now, I am embarking on a new journey of walking/race walking, and I hope to complete some races before the end of the year. I am already at 5 miles on a sustained walk.
Since my last update, I have been able to slowly resume running! I have been rebuilding my base (with my surgeon's approval), and in 2019, I ran 5 half marathons and numerous 5Ks and 10Ks. I'm starting 2020 with a race on Jan. 11. I was unfortunately unable to attend the 69-70 reunion due to a previously scheduled race.
Our grandchildren are now 8, 6, 6, and 4. We still leave in Cumming/south Forsyth, however, our grandchildren are in different areas of the state.
It is hard to believe that this spring, we will observe 50 years since graduation.
