Arlene's Story
Living in the Portland, Oregon area now. . . we did not have a spring this year. . . and summer is looking ever more doubtful. . .
Even so, we think this is our last stop after moving every couple of years for the past 10 years. We now have 4 out of our 7 kids and one grandchild living in this area; so we'll deal with the gray skies and rain.
We can't really complain as we have been able to travel to a number of sunny parts of the world - Hawaii, Costa Rica, Prague and Vie...Expand for more

Years ago, a very good friend of mine sent me this quote:
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within the heart."
Not to discount the value of logic and thinking things through: but it would seem that who we are and our ability to bring hope and perhaps some semblance of joy to others is directly proportionate to how in touch we are with our own heart and soul.
Life is truly one great adventure!
