Arlene's Story
Life
I am a widow now since October 2003. I was married to Art Watson for 39 years. We have 3 children grown. Robin has a boy age 3 and a girl age 1 1/2. David has 2 girls age 5 and 2 1/2. Brian is married with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a ferret that has the run of the house and he calls them his "kids". I have been very busy and active in fixing up my home and landscaping my yard which needed a lot of work. Hard physical work is very satisfying to me and keeps me in good health. I like the outdoors. most favorite thing to do is hiking through woods.
School
School was a scary place for me and I dreaded to go because I had low self esteem. When I run in to someone now that I was in school with, they tell me they thought I was stuck-up or not friendly when in fact I was so scared to approach the mainstream kids for fear of rejection. I had homemade clothes and a homedone haircut and I wished I could be invisible.
My favoite teacher was Mrs. Anne Sparks because she was so kind and understanding
