Kimberly's Story

Life Received my Masters in Computer Information Technology. Still working at the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County. Looking to enter the Duke program for non-profit management. Not being the social butterfly in high school means that today I have very little connection to those I graduated with in 1984. However, I would like to learn what each of you has been up to and how life has been treating you. For those who did know me - I am still a bit crazy and aggressive, but in a better way! I love my life and the people in it! Yet, there are days I wake up thinking about how cool it would be to have one more day back in high school. Ah - the things I would say and do. To those from 1984 I say to you - live each day full force...it will take your breath away! And each night enjoy a beer and savor the stars! College I played around too much in college. I was the youngest person there. I attended Seton Hill College for 18 months - transferred to University of Pittsburgh in Johnston (stayed there 2 years)...Expand for more
and finally finished up at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Many years later obtained my masters online through the University of Phoenix. I love school and would like to take more classes. College was a fun time for me. Many brain cells have been lost but many lasting friendships have been built. Workplace I love a challenge and the library has allowed me to change the jobs I have held to suit my needs - as well as the needs for the organization. My title tells very little about what I do. I am one of five operation managers - my division is logistics, dock, mail, workers compensation, general liability, telephone communications and whatever else is needed. My role is now expanding to overlap more with gallery exhibits, fundraising, special event coordination, and policy development. I have had over 35 jobs since starting in the work force at the age of 13. If it sounded interesting - I tried it. Thus I have eliminated tons of jobs I would never do....leaving tons of other jobs I can't wait to try.
