Life
Well, its now spring...and time for an update for those interested! I have recently decided that my husband and I need to let go of a losing battle...lol we have agreed we are better as friends. So, my four kids and I strike out yet again...but we are better this time around. My son Corey, is driving on a permit..doing well, wants to join the service. My daughter Cass is a typical teenager...phone to ear, attitude to give...my 9 yr old shelby is very concentrated on being the best in school she can be...very focused...and my 4 yr old savanna...well she keeps me the busiest! We are looking forward to a great summer, want to go camping for sure this year. Would love to hear from some of you old friends....Im a great corresponder!! so drop me a line
School
hhmmmm my biggest crush in high school...i would have to say it was a basketball jock, #21. I still wonder about him to this day. He always had time to say hello, always complimented me on my artistic talents...he was truly a friend who didnt let his friends dictate who he associated with. ew I was genuine. lol My inspirational teacher would have to be Lynda Pound, my Art teacher. She is the reason I kept pushing myself forward thru school. She was an awesome teacher, but more importantly a beautiful person. Im still in touch with her today. If I could do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat!! I really miss high school, and all that it represented. I wouldnt be so serious second time around either. we are having our 20th reunion coming up in july. I hope to see people I havent seen in 20 yrs...esp if Mr Howe shows up!! I must find that #21 pin! LOL
Workplace
During my h.s. years, I worked flippin burgers, and in a law library as an assistant. I was taking academic courses hoping to get into an Art school, but when I looked into it..the cost was far too much, and my guaranteed employment was pretty nill as an illustrator. So instead, I took a cna course, and worked as a cna in several nursing homes, at the VA hospital and finally as a mental health worker at AMHI. I worked in this field for about 17 yrs, before I decided to stay at home with my now 3 yr old, savanna. I plan on rejoining the workforce soon, but not as a cna....prob retail or office work.
