Armando's Story
Life
After reading Anne-Marie Summers bio I got inspired to write my own.
Life is good. I still live in Queen Creek and work in Mesa. IÂve been married for 7 years but have been with my wife for Almost 10. I have a 3 year old son and 10 month old twins (boy and girl). My sister Martha Rodriguez and brother Fernando Rodriguez still live in Queen Creek as well.
IÂm pretty much where I wanted to be at this time. I work as a prosecutor and enjoy what I do. You get to meet a lot of interesting people and some not so nice people as well. You also get to run into people you havenÂt even thought about in many, many years.
For instance, on one of my jury panels I had Mrs. Peabody, remember her? I didnÂt recognize her at first, be she recognized me. She told the judge that she would tend to believe what I was saying as opposed to defense counsel because she knew I would tell the truth. Suffice it to say that defense counsel didnÂt want her on the panel, but I thanked her!
IÂve seen a couple of people from our school on the Âchain as well, classmates that were going for lengthy stays at the Department of Corrections. I remember standing in the ...Expand for more
courtroom one day and someone saying ÂArmando, Armando. I looked around and saw a person on the Âchain saying Âremember me, remember me? ItÂs a small worldÂ
.
For those of you who left Queen Creek as fast as you could after graduation youÂll be happy to hear that some of the familiar places are still around. The Circle K is still running strong, as well as RudyÂs restaurant. JimÂs (where everyone used to play arcade games) was sold and renamed. The Rainwater Lounge (forgot what it was called before then) has been renamed to NortonÂs Corner II, after Gilbert got rid of NortonÂs Corner I. Our high school is now the middle school, but ÂOld Main is still standing in its regular spot. The video store is no more however, they sold their videoÂs when DVDÂs became cheap.
As I stated above, life in Queen Creek is still good. Shoot me an e-mail if you want to grab a beer or shoot the breeze.
