Priscilla's Story
Forty six years after EHS, it seems like a good time to get reconnected. A handful of you might remember that I was editor of the "Eye," our campus newspaper. That love of the printed word served me well over four decades as a reporter and editor for a number of newspaper chains, including Gannett and the San Bernardino Sun. Today, my husband, Jim Roden, and I live in Kingman, AZ where I tried to retire, soon found myself volunteering to fill the void, and now working as regional manager for the United Way. Life is good. d Rocky, an 8-year-old miniature doxie. We have always loved Arizona and decided to settle in Kingman to be closer to two of our children, Lisa and Joe, who live in Henderson. Rik, our third, has lived in Italy for most of the past 20 years. Flagstaff, AZ was our first love and retirement destination, but after living in Apple Valley, CA for many years, we decided the warm climate and the Colorado River region was a bit more appealing than high country. We still go to Flagstaff frequently, to enjoy the culture, the trees, and winter weather. Jim, who retired from the California Highway Patrol, traded his cruiser for a bass boat. We love our foothills home in a rural neighborhood with lots of wildlife (the neighbors and the four-legged variety!
