Michael's Story
After high school, Steve & I enlisted in the Army after receiving our draft notices. We were stationed in Okinawa, Japan for 18 months. We had a great time diving & partying over there. Mike Auslam, our neighbor & former classmate from OHS was stationed there as well during that time.
Our first stateside assignment was at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. We both worked in special services and were lifeguards during that time. We both served our 20 years and retired from the Army. I had a 7 year break during my 20 year period so I finished after Steve.
I currently separated on the way to a divorce and Steve is living in Las V...Expand for more
egas with his wife, Susan (Peach). Yes, it's the former Susan Myers he dated through out high school. They reconnected several years ago and got married.
I took many college classes while in the service, however never finished my degree. After the service, i resolved to finally complete my studies which began in 1971. I completed a degree in IT, (BSIT) and a MBA in Technology Management.
Worked for the University of Phoenix traveling the nation for a while. I have been officially retired since Oct. 2005. I may be go back to work one of these days. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up.
