More about Aron:"I grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Galena Park High School in 1965. We had a family owned business "Cook's Roller Rink" until it was destroyed due to an electrical short starting a fire.
I enlisted in the US Navy in 1966. I got my draft notice two weeks later while in bootcamp in San Diego. I was stationed at San Miguel Naval Communications Station in the Philippines Islands; volunteered for duty at DaNang, South Vietnam during Tet Offensive in 1968 where I turned down the Purple Heart from a rocket attack; and stationed at the Naval Security Group Headquarters in Washington, DC for the remainder of my enlistment. Do you remember the USS PUEBLO - the naval i...Expand for more
ntelligence ship captured by North Korea in the late 60's? I knew and served with a lot of the crew before and after they were captured. I was involved with Naval Intelligence, and had multiple security clearances when I got out in mid-1970.
I got into computer programming in 1970, and was fortunate to work at the "White House" compound in Washington, DC for a year on a Top Secret computer project when Nixon was President. I met my future wife at Alexandria Roller Rink and we were married in 1970. We lived up in the Northern Virginia area for several years and ultimately relocated to the Atlanta, Georgia area in late 1973.
I've spent 20 years doing extensive computer programming, 5+ years in IT/Department management, and 15+ years doing QA testing of Internet web-based applications.
We have moved into our new home in mountains in Franklin, NC. We "upsized" instead of "downsizing" by moving into a larger one story Ranch style home with a huge walk-in attic (1,500 sq ft). Goodbye Atlanta......lol".
