Arrik's Story
My story?
Well... after high school I joined the marine reserves >infantry< and enrolled at Uconn, received a degree in fine art in 1983.
in 1985 I married Janet Anderson, a girl I knew as a child and reconnected with in 83, I've worked as a prison guard in CT, Somers, Chesire and Hartford, then I worked for a couple of architects doing drafting. That led to my becoming an independent designer which I am to this day, I work as a free lance industrial designer designing packaging and displays, I am considered a 'specialist' in creating die cuts for any use. I bought a woodlot in Thompson CT and am trying to do more art and woodworking. I've got two kids, one a senior at RPI and the other a senior at Tolland high school in CT. One full turn of the generational dial and I am still here!
I had many friends I lost touch with but I have kept some what in touch with the LaPoints, saw Joe Kiska about ten years ago, Ben Roberts is now my brother in law.. I think. What I mean is he married my brother's wife's sister... I visited with Rick Ross a while back...Expand for more
and he was doing well... I have visited with Perry Robertson recently, I am great friends with Mike Raffanello from St Paul's, Spoke to Ken Yates a few years back. I did not attend the last reunion but have been to a few and will def try to make the next one. If someone lets me know...
Who I'd love to run into and say hi at very least..:
'Old' Neighborhood friends... Northeast and Ivy Drive
Danny O, John Bauer, Steve Anderson, Tim Ricker, Chris Day, Dean LaPenta, John Novak, Chris Houlihan, Mark Raffanello, Tina Rosabella, Greg Eddy, well I can't list em all there are so many I shared time with or knew in various capacities over the years. High School too, Pete Suydam, the Spinellis, Jacqui Dennehy, the wrestlers, the fellas I used to ride with... again too many to list.
I do remember the days at Bristol Eastern with great fondness... I'm not proud of everything I did then but it is what it iz...
There will always be things to work on, personally and professionally but it has been a good ride so far and I hope it is not over yet! Cheers all!
