Sadie's Story
I went to Norfolk State and majored in Nursing. I worked at Norfolk General Hospital for 10 years. I moved to Long Beach ,California June 1980. I worked at St. Mary's Medical Center for 10 years.On January 3,1989 , I went to work for the Los Angeles County Sheriff Dept. as a Nurse and I work in the LA County Jail which is the largest jail system in the country. We house over 20,000 men and approximately over 3,000 women. I worked 8 years with the women and the past 12 1/2 years with the men. I have one...Expand for more
daughter, her name is Sierra Leone Hobbs.She is 22 and a Senior at North Carolina Central University in Durham ,North Carolina. I have no grandchildren. I am still single. and I plan to retire from Sheriff Dept. in 5 yrs. and move back to Norfolk or North Carolina. I like to read, dance , go to casinos and just chill. I have learned to take one day at a time and thank God for that chance to see another day. I have made all of our reunions and the Class of 1969 have a good time every time.
