1. McLaughlin Union High School, Class of 1970.Three Sport Athlete lettering in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. All-Conference & All-State (Honorable Mention) Football Sr Year and All-Conference Baseball Sr Year.
FFA Four Years. District Farmer & State Farmer Sr Year, Star Greenhand, Public Speaking District & Regional Champion Sr Year, Chapter Roberts Rules of Order Team (Fr. So. Jr. Sr.) District & Regional Champions (Fr. So. Jr. Sr. Years) Chapter Sentinel Jr Year, Chapter Secretary Sr Year, (Through H.S. I didn't have any girl friends because was shy around girls, Had a few crushes but didn't have the courage to ask them out. in four years Never went to Proms or Home Cummings because too shy to ask anyone to them. Only went to Sadie Hawkins because I didn't have to be the one to ask)
2. Oregon State University, (O.S.U.) Corvallis, OR 1970-1972. School of Agriculture. Attended on a Football Scholarship. Starting Offensive Lineman on Rook (Freshman) Team, Red Shirted Sophomore year due to grades.
3. Walla Walla Community College, (W.W.C.C.) AA in General Studies Winter 1973. Attended on Football Scholarship. Starting Offensive Lineman received All-Conference Honors.
4. Portland State University, Attended on Football Scholarship...Sustained Broken Right Ankle during Fall Camp missing entire season. Departed due to disliking the large city!
5. Eastern Washington University (E.W.U.) Class of 1976 B.A. Physical Education, Biology & Military Science. Attended on Blue Chip Football Scholarship. Two Year Starting Offensive Lineman receiving All-Conference Honors Sr Year, Received Commission as Second Lieutenant in the US Army Field Artillery.

Completed Advanced Airborne Operations Course (Jumpmaster). 14. Separated from the US Army 1990. Made conscious decision when wife abandoned my 2YO daughter & I family was more important than my thus far outstanding military career resulting in a blistering officer efficiency report precipitating a non-selection to major.
