Arturo's Story
Life
Enlisted in the Marine Corps right after high school, 1957. Commissioned as Second Lieutenant in 1966. Served at various posts, stations and Fleet Marine Force units from Hawaii to California, North Carolina, Japan, Okinawa and Washington D.C. Duties were primarily in financial management and accounting. Earned a B.A. degree in Econ/BusAdmin and an MBA(FinMgmnt). Retired from Marine Corps in 1980, as Major. Worked for the City of Oceanside, Ca. for twenty years and attained the position of Finance Manager for the City before retiring in 2000. I am married and live in Oceanside and enjoying life. Golf is my main hobby and and I am involved in a couple of golf clubs serving or have served in various positions in running the clubs...Expand for more
. I enjoy the competion, but the main attraction is the friends and camaraderie. We enjoy Tejano music and attend dances whenever possible such as on New Year's Eve in Tucson, Az. and the annual Tejano music convention in Las Vegas. Not much Tejano music here locally. I enjoy the nearby Indian casinos here in the area and go as frequently as my budget permits. I exercise at a fitness center about three or four times a week, when I'm not playing golf or at a casino, trying to stay healthy. We enjoy our visits to San Antonio, specially during Fiesta week, and hope to go about every other year. Looking forward to our 50th anniversary high school reunion this year (2007). Hope to hear from and see some friends in San Antonio soon.
