Asa's Story
Hello everyone! Time to write a bit as my youngest is now a graduate of Rio Rancho High School, or will be on 5/19/08.
So, after LCHS it was NMSU from 80-84, married in 84, still to the same person, Cara. 24 Years, that's a long time. First job was at West Texas Utilities in Abilene, TX. Oh, I'm a computer nerd, used to be mainframe now in the Unix Oracle world. So WTU was from 84-89, son Kyle was born in 12/88, he just finished his Freshman year at NMSU, he's playing baseball so if you want to see how handsome a son I have (probably mom's genes!) you can visit the NMSU athletics baseball site, he's #36. In May of 1989 I got a job at El Paso Natural Gas (still being a nerd), stayed there 3 years during which my daughter Kayla was born on 10/90. She will probably go to UNM,...Expand for more
but is still entertaining volleyball offers. She was the 2007 NM Gatorade Player of the Year in Volleyball. So, yes I'm really really blessed with two athletically and academically talented kids. Both are Presidential scholars at NMSU and probably UNM.
I moved on to El Paso Electric Co. in 1992 which was just across the city square in downtown EP. I left there in 10/1995 and started at Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM. So my tenure there is now 12 1/2 years, wow!
My mom still lives on Thomas Dr. where I grew up. My dad passed away about 3 years ago, alzheimers. So now the added bonus of visiting my mom in LC and Kyle makes the trips all the nicer.
So I hope all that see this are doing well and I say a typed "Hello" to you!
