Michael's Story
Life
[In Brief]
-Born in Bayonne, NJ on May 4, 1970 (Dad in Army at Military Ocean Terminal there)
-Moved to VA at 3 weeks old (Though he volunteered, Dad wasn't sent to Vietnam)
-Moved to Raleigh, NC at 6 weeks old.
-Moved to Winston-Salem, NC at ~3 years old (1973) where my dad became an assistant DA
-Moved to Millers Creek NC in 1975 when my dad became DA there
-Attended Miller Creek Elementary/Intermediate from 1976-1984
-Attended West Wilkes High School for my Freshmen and Sophomore years (1984-1986)
-Attended North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics for my Junior and Senior Years (1986-1988)
-Went to Duke University for degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (and Basketball) - grad 1992
-Went to MIT and got my masters in Electrical Engineering in 1995. During that time, I met my wonderful future wife, Kristin, and got twitterpated (see "Bambi" ...info on kids below)
-Moved to California (Silicon Valley) and worked at Maxim for six years (1995-2001) as an int...Expand for more
egrated circuit designer.
-Kristin and I were married on June 8, 1996
-My first daughter, Haley, was born April 29th, 2000.
-Moved back to Massachusetts (Groton) in 2001 and currently work for Analog Devices as an integrated circuit designer.
-My second daughter, Chloe, was born February 13th, 2002.
-Finn, my son, was born July 17th, 2006.
Other Milestones:
-Caught first fish in 1975
-First Piano Lesson, 1976(thanks to my grandparents for the Piano)
-First Drum Lesson, 1982
-First (and only) Hole-in-One, May 9th, 1986, Oakwoods CC (bounced off a rock 15 yards right of the green).
-First time using a Guillotine in wrestling match, Fall 1987
-First Traffic Accident, 1988 (I think it was '88)
-First A+ in college: Physics, Fall 1988
-First Job (out of school), Maxim Integrated Products, Fall 1995
-First Car, 2001 Nissan Pathfinder (bought in 2000)
-First House, Colonial in Groton, MA - built 2002.
-First, Second, and Third Children: 2000, 2002, and 2006
