Audie Silber:  

Life I have been married to Denis Silber for more than 40 years. We met as summer camp counselors in Wawona in Yosemite National Park and got married there four years later. We have two sons. Ben is married and he and his wife are both forensic psychologists in Arkansas. They have a one-year old son, and yes, I would LOVE to show you pictures. Our other son, Jason, is an orthotist/prosthetist and runs a clinic in Vacaville. His wife is a marriage & family therapist. Denis and I both retired from teaching elementary school full-time, but I substitute teach a lot and teach a high school home economics class. School My favorite memories of Sonora High are of the classes I took in the industrial ed. building -- girls' auto, drafting, and architecture -- and arts/crafts like ceramics, leathercrafts, and painting. I also loved the English classes I had from Mrs. Thule' and still use some of her strategies to teach literature to my students. And what about those exciting football games our sophomore year! Wasn't that the year our JV team was undefeated or almost? I have the drumbeat that got us down the parade route and into our half-time formations permanently etched in my mind. College I switched my college choice to Pacific Union College (a Seventh-day Adventist College in the foothills of the Napa Valley) late in the spring of our senior year.
