Audrey's Story

Anyone who wanted to catch up with me should've done so by now so I'm taking away the "what have I done since high school story". I may leave the important stuff such as I am married to a wonderful, older man and all together we have 6 kids, 8 grandkids. We love being outside !! My family and I enjoy camping, anything involving water.....canoeing, white-water rafting, skiing, fishing, etc. We have a small garden every year, love to play in the mud with 4x4's. My son loves monster trucks and motor cross events. My daughter is very easily entertained, she loves just about everything and is eager to learn anything !! She's in 8th grade and remains on the honor roll after all these years!! I love cooking, grilling, I collect cookbooks but LOVE old fashioned cooking like what Grandmother use to cook. Believe it or not, I like to cut grass and work in the yard. I love getting lost on dirt roads, exploring old abandoned places on these dirt roads. I like photography, I take my camera everywhere !! My husband is a former teacher/principal but after almost 20 years in education, he hung it up !! He helps our children with their homework when I'm not able. When he changed careers, he really changed careers !! He worked in a manufactur...Expand for more
ing plant and worked with chemicals. Due to the economy, he was laid off at his chemical job. We have now relocated to "God's country" and he is in quality control at a car manufacuturer. Of course, my life since high school has not been all wine and roses but I have had a great life and wouldn't change a thing !! God is so good!! I will take this opportunity to tell you how wonderful our Lord and Savior truly is!!! During my husbnd's unemployment, God (as always) was right there and walked us through it!!! We survived MONTHS of unemployment and God was always there to meet our needs! When Tommy was laid off, neither of us had a job. Thank God I found one within a few weeks but it wasn't anywhere near the income he made. Long story short.....we hung in there, we've now gotten out of Selma and life is oh so good once again. God is good ALL the time!!! Denise Grindle (my sister-in-law) passed away suddenly August 10, 2010. For all you DCHS folks she was the Miss Grindle math teacher when were in about the 7th and 8th grades. Also the cheerleader sponsor. I get one do-over what would it be?? I would have this relatioship with Christ that I have now all along and not wait until now to be the christian I finally have become.
