I never really liked high school, I was mostly bored and ambitious. I wanted to work so I would have enough money to buy my own car. so I attended Operation SER which was a very good program. An individual was able to continue school in the morning and learn a trade in the afternoon, you were also paid for 8hrs. Obtained my GED and a JOB! My trade was Wafer Fabrication and after completing training I secured a sweet job in Silicon Valley. The pay and hours were great for that particular time period. So I saved my weekly checks and purchased my first car a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix and turned it into a lowrider. I met my first husband when I was 13 a freshman, we dated off and on for awhile. Got serious around 16, had a big wedding at 20 and had my son when I was 21. I became a widow when I was 26. I met my second husband when I was 27, got married in Las Vegas and had my daughter when I was 29. We have been together ever since and have a wonderful marriage and family life. We moved to Central California around 1994. Its hot here but the houses were cheap at the time so we made the move. My husband works in construction for a land developer and also has his own business. I have worked for a video security manufacturer as a Wireless Communications Administrator - supporting domestic and international sales staff with their blackberries, PDA's and air cards.
