Bob's Story

After graduation, I went to Clemson for 2 years before transerring to Washington and Lee. Graduating in 75, I married Susan in 76 and worked for Ford Credit in Norfolk. Moved to Fredericksburg in 82. Spent 14 years with Union Bank before moving to Peoples Community Bank in 2000 as Chief Operating officer. In February 2009 I was elected President of the bank. Besides work, I enjoy cruising in my 1947 Ford Coupe and attending classic car shows. I am blessed with a wonderful daughter and 3 beautiful grandchildren. would love to h...Expand for more
ear from any of you from school so please drop a line. The bank for which I work was sold to C&F Bank, so technically I retired as President last December. I have stayed on as a consultant but that tour of duty will expire this December (2020).. Well, they convinced me to stay longer, so retirement is December 2021. Additionally, I have taken on the role of Director of Tourism for the Town of Warsaw VA.. As of Dec 21, I fully retired, but did take on volunteer role as President of the Norther Neck of Virginia Historical Society.

On this Veterans Day, I honor my stepdad. Bob Kruger. WW II and US NAVY, aboard YSS BOGUE. He turns 100 this month. Thanks for your service and know that we love you.
